Founder and Director - Capt. S. K. Sinha
A Legacy of Excellence in Maritime and Offshore Training
Founded by Capt. S. K. Sinha, Suraksha Marine has been a trailblazer in maritime and offshore safety training since 1991, revolutionizing Indian and global standards with its OPITO-approved, DG of Shipping, and DGCA-accredited courses.
With a career spanning over five decades, from seafaring with global giants like the Shipping Corporation of India, Teekay Corporation, etc. to shaping generations as a professor at L.B.S. College, Mumbai, Capt. Sinha’s vision led to the establishment of Suraksha as India’s first OPITO-approved training center in 2009, introducing courses like BOSIET, HUET, OERTM, and several other industry recognised advance marine, aviation and offshore training courses.
Collaborating with the IMO and Indian authorities, he pioneered the implementation of international conventions such as the STCW'75 (as amended) in India, elevating training quality for seafarers worldwide. Today, Suraksha Marine offers over 25 courses, attracting learners globally while remaining a beacon of excellence under Capt. Sinha’s leadership, dedicated to fostering a safer offshore industry.
